‘Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s self care!’ – A Guide for the Bride…to Be!

Our March blog post is some valuable information from your Estie Bestie at W Aesthetics and Wellness ‘Kayla Bennett’… Check out what she has to say below:

‘Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s self care!’

The Breakout Bride

Wedding planning is stressful enough, the last thing you want is to deal with stress induced breakouts before the big day! Getting your skin on a regime, and sticking to it, will be the best way to prevent unexpected and unwanted blemishes from popping up. The best defense is a good offense and setting aside time in your busy schedule to unwind and pamper yourself will be good for the soul and great for your skin. If a breakout does rear its ugly head, the best thing to do is to leave it alone and stick to your skincare routine. If you have enough time (about a week or two) before your wedding, schedule a facial with your Estie Bestie to get your skin in optimal tip top shape. Make sure you tell your esthetician about your upcoming event so she will avoid harsh peels, deep extractions, and over exfoliation. Diamond Glow, Biologique Recherche, Dermaplaning and LED light therapy are all wonderful options for the Breakout Bride.

The Blushing Bride

The “Blushing Bride” may not have a good ring to it if you have rosacea, sensitive, or inflamed skin. We like to go for the cool, calm and collected version of the blushing bride and we can help get you there! With a few months prior to your wedding day and events leading up to it, this would be a great time to schedule IPL to help reduce the redness. Treatments can be done 2-4 weeks apart and you may need multiple sessions. When booking IPL prior to wedding events, be mindful of travel, sun exposure and alcohol intake as those can cause more inflammation. Ideally, IPL treatments should be done a few months prior to your wedding to allow time for the amount of treatments necessary, and to give your skin healing time to correct the vascularities. Following IPL treatment, scheduling an LED facial with red light therapy can continue to reduce inflammation as well as combat fine lines by encouraging collagen production. Color correcting IPL treatments in a series of 2 or 3 followed by monthly LED facials will lead you down the aisle feeling confident and beautiful.

The Runaway Bride

Are you always on the go and can’t seem to remember every step of your skincare regime in your overnight bag? Or have you let your new gym membership become a forgotten New Years resolution? Planning a wedding can feel like juggling flaming knives and taking your eyes off to focus on anything else might set the whole house on fire. Some nights you might be happy just to make it into bed, ideally at a reasonable hour, but getting that extra time for skin care isn’t in the cards. Sadly, your skin will eventually look and feel as tired as you do. Give yourself a break and cut yourself some slack, there’s beauty in the imperfections and your Esite Bestie is here to help you feel reinvigorated! Delegate some odds and ends or vendor follow ups to your MOH or MOB and set up a face and/or body treatment! The Runaway Bride deserves a total body experience to get the rejuvenation they deserve, and will surely need, to make it to the altar unfrazzled. A dual exfoliation treatment like Dermaplaning with Diamond Glow, or a skin tightening treatment like radio frequency Exilis will increase glow and light reflection on your skin giving you a refreshed bridal glow. The Body Sculpting and Radio Frequency skin tightening will lift, firm and tighten all parts of the body begging the question “How does she do it?”
